Tomorrow I'm resuming work on the Creature Engine. Due to my quest to reduce lag and the building of the new website I had to put it on hold for a while.
But the time has come to resume my activities. My target is to bring the creature engine up to a point where it is possible for the admins to add intelligent boss monsters to quests. This will enrich the gameplay a lot.
My roadmap is as follows:
- Add a system that updates the pathfinding graph every time a map is altered or changed.
- Improve the world pathfinding graph so that it'll be possible to use the A star pathfinding in all occasions. This will prevent monsters from getting stuck.
- Add experience rewards
- Improve creature artificial intelligence.
