Hello al i am not here to be a *&^ but want would be the best thing for the game over all instead of keeping it moving forward like new towns and that at right this sec is to have all mappers scan the area's from the begining to end to fix all mapping errors.I am a mapper my self i dont want to map here but it gets tiring of going from a map to another and you get stuck in a tree.I would think a great game like this would be duoble checking maps before releasing thise area's into public like i said i am not posting to be a $@@ or anything i am just looking at something that should be fix and i think would improve the game

Hey there ezah,

Instead of sounding like a dick, you could tell the mappers which maps have errors and what not bugs don't get fixed if they are not aware of them.

Well, Terra mappers have no excuse for making as many mapping errors as they do...I'm glad someone finally came out and said something.

@the admin team: The DWM (Dynamic World Map) is there for a reason...use it, especially when doing big projects like Somnium. And if you can't be bothered to take the extra few seconds to check your maps for errors, then you don't deserve to be an admin really.

Thank you all for your

Thank you all for your concern. I'm sure once New Somnium is complete, we will be able to give the island a scan for any mapping fixes.

Please show the staff any issues you have found as it will be fixed sooner.

There are thousands upon thousands of maps in this game (I believe it shows the number when you first log on, 25,501 maps). There have been countless mappers over the years, with style differences in abundance. This project, while I'm sure easing your minor annoyance, would take a long time; time that this team does not have. Rest assured, though, I and the rest of the staff are well aware that it is as tiring to get stuck in a tree as it is to read your poor grammar Ezah.

As for the world map, we haven't been able to use it since the server switch.

Again, thank you for your concern.

It's quite possible that it's a browser compatibility issue...I'm assuming you use Internet Exploder? If so, try Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Just saying...IE sucks

oh, and PS ~ about the whole mapping issue...even when we started Somnium roughly 2+ years ago, when the DWM was working, I think there were only a couple people who used it (one of them being myself, because I for one, get as annoyed as any other player when I encounter stupid mapping errors that can easily be avoided), and I was constantly reminding other mappers to look over their maps as many times as possible to make sure errors like landing on trees were avoided. Most of em listened, but some of em were "special" to say the least.

Sometimes I look back and am disappointed that I didn't pay more attention to the Somnium project when I was team leader, but in a way I'm glad, because a bunch of other opportunities have opened up for me since Tom blocked me on msn and whatnot after the stupid stunt I pulled back in May.
