It seems as though many are having trouble figuring out what is happening with the Airships? What are they? How do I get the ability to fly one? How can I fly to (randomplace)?

Well, the answer is here.

Q - What are Airships?

A - Airships are our way of saying 'you don't have to walk everywhere anymore!'

After a bunch of whining about walking, the Admin team, and Tom of course, put in a lovely system linking the already included but not used Airships with a map. Via this map, the player can board an airship in one place, and, providing they have the ability to, fly to another place in just seconds!

Q - How do I get the ability to fly one?

A - This depends on the town or location in question. Everyone automatically has the ability to fly to Escher. Unfortunately, if you are on Somnium, this point is moot at you can't get to the map to fly there. This is also worthless if you can only get to Escher, as there is no point flying to where you already are.

The fun begins at 100hp, when you can finally get the reet Airship deed. This adds to your ability to fly to Escher, and unlocks areas around Escher, such as the Warrior faction, and the ferry to Midgard.

After Reet, everything is pretty self explanatory. It should become obvious that you can't fly anywhere you can't get too. For example, if you can't walk to Larcenia, you can't fly there. If you can't get into Secret City, you certainly can't fly there, and so forth.

Getting the deeds is simple for all areas, except for possibly Class Island, in which you get to spend several hours walking to Amorach, then Kelton, then Roeselare, then back to Amorach. However, once this is done, you will never ever have to walk those paths again, unless of course some quest tell you not to go onto the airship, which we sometimes do just to torture people.

Once you have managed getting to a City you've never been too, and assuming you are looking for the person that can give you this deed, you should always find the Airship first. Each Airship for each town is located within the town itself. Once you've found this, talk to whoever is standing by the Airship, assuming there is someone there that is. If no one is there, walk into the Airship. This gives you the deed, no fuss, no muss, you're good to go. This will happen in Midgard, unlike Secret City, in which you get the deed just by entering the City itself.

Everywhere else requires a quest, which you begin by speaking to the person by the ship. Do what he asks, and when you're done, you can fly.

That's it. Easy huh?
